So soon...

Ruth here. In just a few hours we will be on our way. We have had a good day, surprisingly unrushed, and our niece Miriam blessed us by keeping Danny entertained all afternoon (with the help of our friend Dee). I even had time to get my hair trimmed. Danny was so eager to get to bed--because he knew we would be leaving when he got up--that he told me during our reading time "Just read one page, Mommy." (Extremely unusual behavior!) But it seemed impossible for him to get to sleep since he was bouncing on the bed and clapping his hands when I left his room. i think he was awake for another hour. We let him read a few books to try to get sleepy.

I guess I should try to go to bed now. I think I will have the same trouble as Danny. I keep walking around the house trying to imagine a little girl in all the rooms, playing and laughing. I can't believe the moment is finally here for us to go get her. I spent a few hours today finishing up a drawing of Naomi that we plan to give to the foster family. (Yes, I procrastinated getting it done until today. But I had all the suitcases nearly packed up last night for me, Danny and Naomi, so that was pretty good.) I will try to post the drawing, but this blogger site doesn't seem to like my Mac. I may have to post it later from the laptop.
